Apparently, this week was Attack of the Random Food Pairings. I kept seeing these totally wacky recipes and falling completely and madly in love with them. Please tell me I am not the only one to be totally overcome by such thoughts as, “What doeshappen when you combine peanut butter and cheddar cheese…in a cookie?” or, “Pomegranates over nachos?! Why didn’t Ithink of that?!” Well, ok, I’m certainly not the only one because I didn’t think of these totally intriguingly genius recipes – I can rest assured that there are other oddball foodies out there, if only the handful that created the recipes in the first place. But I don’t know how many of them are you, and I apologize if this week’s round up scares you a little bit. I’ll go back to plain chicken at some point, but for now…for now these inventive ideas (and ok, some pretty normal, I promise – not all of the recipes are wack-o) from bloggers across the internet are too excellent not to spend some time chatting about.

  1. Definitely no plain chicken for me! I love all the creativity in food blogging and it’s so much fun to see what everyone else comes up with – if it the combinations sometimes leave me scratching my head ;) I saw that Raspberry and Chocolate Semifreddo from Bakers Royale earlier this week and fell in love!

    • I swear, the stranger the combination, the less I can resist it. I think my bookmarks are getting weirder and weirder all the time ;) And I know, that semifreddo is just stunning! I’ve actually never made one before but it sounds like a great recipe.
