As a near 2 pounds of butter have officially been moved from freezer to fridge to thaw for L’s belated birthday cake (7 sticks!! He sure knows how to pick a winner), I suppose it shouldn’t be all that surprising that about 90% of the links I’m sharing today are for dessert.

Actually, hold up – who am I kidding? 90% of the links that I share on pretty much any given Weekend Wrap-Up are for dessert.

I promise, 90% of what I eat is not dessert. Except sometimes.

This week has been mind-numbingly stressy and up in the air and all over the place. I thought of what I thought was a witty metaphor, but after typing it decided that anything involving vomit is probably not actually all that witty.

I think I should quit while I’m, well…before I dig myself any deeper. If I drank coffee, this would be about the time where I commented on the fact that I could really use a big cup of it. I think I’ll stay in my pajamas today.

I had a staring contest with my dog last night. That really has nothing to do with anything, but I felt like I needed to share that with more than just L.

Definitely a pajamas kind of day.

What I’ve Pinned This Week:

Image from How Sweet Eats

Adorable DIY Valentine’s Cards – VALENTINE’S DAY, WHAT?! I know that’s what you’re thinking. Oops. I couldn’t resist when I saw the pin, though.
Have the courage.
Homemade Coconut Butter – You guysss, (was that too whiney?) I’m so not on the coconut bandwagon and I can never, ever find unsweetened coconut anywhere…but I still had to pin this. It is impossible to apply logic and rationality to my actions on Pinterest. Impossible.
Pumpkin Applesauce – I add tons of fresh produce to my homemade applesauce. Why have I never thought to add pumpkin, the other fall produce??

What I’ve Bookmarked This Week:

Almond Joy Cheesecakes
Browned Butter Cookies with Cider Caramel Filling
Crispy Autumn Veggie Burgers with Apple Cider Slaw – I have four recipes from this blog on this week’s wrap-up. Four. I’m a little embarrassed.
Date-Sweetened Chocolate Chip Cookies – with hemp seeds! I love hemp! (says the poser hippie)
Mushroom & Chicken Noodle Soup with Poached Eggs – So, confession – back in high school, when I thought french fries were vegetables and apple cake for breakfast counted as a serving of fruit, I ate those just-add-hot-water ramen packets. With an egg cracked into it. This recipe takes me back!
Non-Lardy Lardy Cakes – What you need to know: she’s replaced lard with white chocolate, and added in some apples and raisins because, well, why not?
Peanut Butter & PARSNIP Cake – YES, PARSNIPS. I’m so intrigued.
Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun Ice Cream – aka pumpkin ice cream, with cinnamon caramel and cheesecake swirl. aka why is there not a bowl of this in front of me right now?
Pumpkin Spiced Latte Cupcake – And so my love of all things coffee, except coffee itself, continues.
S’mores Stuffed Pumpkin Oat Cookies – I did not grow up loving s’mores but I think I’m making up for it now…I can’t get enough of them, in all of their incarnations!

Photo an Hour (How Sweet Eats) – So Jessica of How Sweet Eats swiped this idea from another blogger, and now I’m sitting here, contemplating swiping it from her. There’s something so beautiful about wordless photographs telling a story of a day — even if it is a completely ordinary one.
