If only I had a "before" shot, too! Basically, things were piled everywhere, waiting for a home.

If only I had a “before” shot, too! Basically, things were piled everywhere, waiting for a home.

I think I’m finally starting to get into the swing of things. The apartment is coming together — we officially have 2 chairs in the living room so we can stop relying on an air mattress for seating, and the kitchen is finally all put together the way I want it (for now). On-the-job training is wrapping up pretty soon, and I’ll really be able to get started on some fun projects there. There’s still a lot to be done, but I’ve been rethinking how I go through my days and have found pockets of time to get back to some things I love. Workouts have been more frequent, I started to go through my ridiculously back-logged Bloglovin feed, and I even watched 2 movies with L this week! Ok, actually, I fell asleep during both of them, so maybe that’s not the best example.

Finally, somewhere to sit that isn't the wood floor or a deflating air mattress!

The best example is definitely this wrap-up, which went from once-again-paltry at the beginning of this week to bursting with excitingly awesome links by the end of it. There are some truly exceptional links this week, as usual, so I hope you enjoy!

What I’ve Bookmarked This Week:

Image from How Sweet eats

Apple Cinnamon Streusel Galette — Because open-faced pies are the best, and by open-faced, you know I mean covered-in-buttery-sweet-crumbles-instead-of-boring-crust.
Caramel Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars — Fact: Cookie Bars > Cookies, 96% of the time…especially when bourbon caramel is involved.
(Healthier) Gingersnap Pumpkin Custard – Why choose between gingerbread flavored desserts, and pumpkin desserts, when you can just eat both at the same time?
Healthy Brownie Batter Pancakes — I need these in my life. Dinner tomorrow night? Most likely.
Heart Healthy Turkey Meatloaf – awesome ingredients!
Slow Cooker Sun Dried Tomato Meat Loaf – I’m not obsessed with meat loaf, I promise. Daily Buzz Food had a feature on meatloaf recipes and there were a ton of really nutritious options!
South African Meatloaf Casserole – Someone please tell me how recipes like this can exist, and I’ve never branched out into this cuisine before.
Raw Ginger Brownie Pops — I’m not usually on board with raw recipes, they just seem so fussy, but this one’s getting bookmarked.
Dark Chocolate Ganache Pie with Biscoff Cookie Crust — I mean…really??
Vegetarian Tofu Rolls — These sound out of this world! Must try baking them instead of frying.
Pumpkin S’mores Pie — I just can’t even…oh my gosh. I barely even looked at the recipe before I decided this was going into my bookmarked recipes.

Blog Posts I’m Loving This Week:

Image from Twenty Two Words, originally from Momma’s Gone City

Couple Replicates Dirty Dancing Dance at Wedding (Huffington Post) — In case you had any doubts of how much of a woman I am, I was unabashedly on the verge of happy tears watching this.
Toddler Naps with 2 Month Old Puppy (Twenty Two Words) — Speaking of dying of absolute cuteness…
What is the perfect body shape? (Blogilates) – Yes, yes, and yes!
Why Do You Work Out? (The Little Honey Bee) — Similar to the post above, but an equally excellent message.
27 Gifts for the Practical One (How Sweet Eats) — Coming from someone who just moved to a new apartment and is officially starting off “on her own” (with L), I can say that practical gifts rock.
